Científicos y médicos advierten de posibles efectos graves en la salud de las redes 5G

Nosotros, los abajo firmantes, más de 180 científicos y médicos de 36 países, recomendamos una moratoria para el despliegue de la quinta generación de telecomunicaciones, 5G, hasta que los peligros potenciales para la salud humana y el medio ambiente hayan sido investigados por científicos independientes de la industria. La 5G aumentará notablemente la exposición a los campos electromagnéticos (CEM) de radiofrecuencia (RF) respecto de la 2G, 3G, 4G, WIFI, etc. ya existentes. Los CEM de RF han demostrado ser perjudiciales para los seres humanos y el medio ambiente. (Nota: Los enlaces en azul son referencias.)
La 5G conduce al aumento masivo de la exposición obligatoria a la radiación inalámbrica
La tecnología 5G es efectiva sólo a corta distancia. Se transmite mal a través de material sólido. Se requerirán muchas antenas nuevas y la implementación a gran escala resultará en antenas cada 10 a 12 casas en áreas urbanas, aumentando así masivamente la exposición obligatoria.
Con "el uso cada vez más extenso de tecnologías inalámbricas nadie puede evitar exponerse. Debido a que añade un número creciente de transmisores 5G (incluso dentro de la vivienda, los comercios y los hospitales) estimándose de"10a 20 mil millones de conexiones" (refrigeradores, lavadoras, cámaras de vigilancia, automóviles y autobuses, etc.) que serán parte del Internet de las Cosas. Todos estos factores pueden provocar un aumento sustancial de la exposición total a largo plazo a los ciudadanos de la UE.
Los efectos nocivos de la exposición a los CEM de RF ya están probados
Más de 230 científicos de más de 40 países han expresado sus "serias preocupaciones" con respecto a la omnipresente y creciente exposición a los CEM generados por dispositivos eléctricos e inalámbricos ya antes del lanzamiento adicional de la 5G. Se refieren al hecho de que "numerosas publicaciones científicas recientes han demostrado que los CEM afectan a los organismos vivos a niveles muy inferiores a las directrices internacionales y nacionales". Los efectos incluyen aumento del riesgo de cáncer, estrés celular, aumento de los radicales libres dañinos, daños genéticos, cambios estructurales y funcionales del sistema reproductivo, déficit de aprendizaje y memoria, trastornos neurológicos e impactos negativos en el bienestar general de los seres humanos. Los daños van mucho más allá de la especie humana, ya que hay evidencia creciente de efectos nocivos tanto para los animales como para laplantas.
Después de que el llamamiento de los científicos fuera escrito en 2015, investigaciones adicionales han confirmado convincentemente serios riesgos para la salud de los CEM de RF de la tecnología inalámbrica. El mayor estudio del mundo, realizado por Programa Nacional de Toxicología (NTP) de EEUU (25 millones de dólares USA), muestra un aumento estadísticamente significativo en la incidencia de cáncer cerebral y cardíaco en animales expuestos a los CEM por debajo de los criterios de la ICNIRP (Comisión Internacional sobre Protección contra las Radiaciones No Ionizantes) seguidos por la mayoría de los países. Estos resultados apoyan los resultados en los estudios epidemiológicos humanos sobre la radiación de RF y el riesgo de tumor cerebral. Un grannúmero de informes científicos revisados entre pares(peer-reviewed) demuestran daños a la salud humana por los CEM.

La Agencia Internacional para la Investigación del Cáncer (IARC), la agencia sobre el cáncer de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS), concluyó que los CEM de frecuencias de 30 KHz a 300 GHz son posiblemente carcinógenos para los seres humanos (Grupo 2B). Sin embargo, nuevos estudios como el estudio NTP mencionado anteriormente y varias investigaciones epidemiológicas, incluyendo los últimos estudios sobre el uso de teléfonos móviles y los riesgos de cáncer cerebral, confirman que laradiación CEM de RF es cancerígena para los seres humanos.
La Guía EUROPAEM sobre CEM de 2016 establece que "existe una fuerte evidencia de que ia exposición a largo plazo a ciertos CEM es un factor de riesgo para enfermedades como ciertos tipos de cáncer, enfermedad de Alzheimer e infertilidad masculina... Los síntomas comunes de EHS (hipersensibilidad electromagnética) incluyen cefaleas, dificultades de concentración, problemas del sueño, depresión, falta de energía, fatiga y síntomas similares a la gripe".
Una parte cada vez mayor de la población europea se ve afectada por síntomas de salud que durante muchos años han estado relacionados con la exposición a campos electromagnéticos y la radiación inalámbrica en la literatura científica. La Declaración Científica Internacional sobre EHS y Sensibilidad Química Múltiple(MCS), Bruselas 2015, declara que: "Atendiendo a nuestro conocimiento científico actual, de este modo, insistimos a todos los organismos e instituciones nacionales e internacionales, en particular a la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS), a que reconozcan la EHS y la SQM como condiciones médicas verdaderas, las cuales, actuando como enfermedades centinela, pueden crear un importante problema de salud pública en los próximos años en todo el mundo, es decir, en todos los países que aplican el uso ilimitado de las tecnologías con base en campos electromagnéticos inalámbricos y sustancias químicas comercializadas ... La inacción es un costo para la sociedad y no puede seguir siendo una opción ... reconocemos por unanimidad este grave peligro para la salud pública que requiere urgentemente del reconocimiento de esta condición en todos los niveles internacionales,... y, por encima de todo, que se adopten y prioricen las medidas importantes de prevención primaria, para enfrentar esta panidemia global en perspectiva".
Precauciones
El Principio de Precaución (UNESCO) fue adoptad por la UE en 2005: "Cuando las actividades humanas pueden desembocar en un peligro moralmente inaceptable, científicamente posible pero incierto, se deben adoptar medidas para evitar o disminuir ese peligro".
La Resolución 1815 (Consejo de Europa, 2011): "Tomar todas las medidas razonables para reducir la exposición a los campos electromagnéticos, especialmente a las radiofrecuencias emitidas por los teléfonos móviles, y en particular la exposición en niños y jóvenes, para quienes el riesgo de tumores de la cabeza parece mayor ... la Asamblea recomendó la aplicación del principio ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable), es decir, el nivel tan bajo como sea razonablemente posible, teniendo en cuenta no sólo los llamados efectos térmicos, sino también los efectos atérmicos [no térmicos] o biológicos de la emisión o radiación de campos electromagnéticos" y "mejorar los criterios de evaluación de riesgos y la calidad de la evaluación mediante la creación de una escala estándar de riesgos".
El Código de ética médica de Nuremberg (1949) se aplica a todos los experimentos en seres humanos, por lo que incluye el despliegue de la 5G con la nueva exposición a los CEM de RF. Todos estos experimentos deben diseñarse y basarse "en los resultados obtenidos mediante la experimentación previa con animales y el pleno conocimiento de la historia natural de la enfermedad o del problema en estudio, de modo que los resultados anticipados justifiquen la realización del experimento (....) No debe realizarse experimento alguno cuando hay una razón a priori para suponer que puede ocurrir la muerte o una lesión irreparable; excepto, quizá, en los experimentos en los que los médicos investigadores son también sujetos de experimentación." (Código de Nuremberg puntos

3 y 5). Los estudios científicos ya publicados muestran que hay "una razón a priori para suponer " riesgos reales para la salud.
La Agencia Europea de Medio Ambiente(EEA) está alertando sobre "El riesgo de radiación de los dispositivos de uso cotidianos", a pesar de que la radiación esté por debajo de las normas de la OMS / ICNIRP. La AEMA también concluye: "Existen numerosos ejemplos en el pasado que por no utilizar el principio de precaución, condujeron a serios perjuicios, y a menudo irreversibles, sobre la salud y sobre el medio ambiente... las exposiciones nocivas podrían extenderse antes de que existan evidencias «categóricas» por las exposiciones a largo plazo, así como de una comprensión biológica [mecanismo] del daño que puedan causar".
"Las Directrices de Seguridad" protegen a la industria, no a la salud
Las actuales "directrices de seguridad" de la ICNIRP están obsoletas. Todas las evidencias de daño mencionadas anteriormente surgen aunque la radiación esté por debajo de dichas "directrices de seguridad" de la ICNIRP. Por lo tanto, son necesarias nuevas normas de seguridad. La razón de las directrices engañosas es que "el conflicto de intereses de los miembros de la ICNIRP, debido a sus relaciones con las industria de las telecomunicaciones o de las eléctricas, socavan la imparcialidad que debe regir la regulación de las Normas de Exposición Pública para las radiaciones no ionizantes ... Para evaluar los riesgos de cáncer es necesario incluir científicos con competencia en medicina, especialmente en oncología".
Las actuales directrices de la ICNIRP / OMS para EMF se basan en la hipótesisobsoleta de que "el efecto fundamental de la exposición a los CEM de RF de relevancia para la salud y la seguridad humanas es el calentamiento del tejido expuesto". Sin embargo, los científicos han demostrado que muchos tipos diferentes de enfermedades y efectos nocivos se producen sin calentamiento ("efecto no térmico") a niveles de radiación muy por debajo de las directrices de la ICNIRP.
Instamos a la Unión Europea:
  1. Tomar todas las medidas razonables para detener la expansión de los CEM de RF de la 5G hasta que científicos independientes puedan asegurar que la 5G y los niveles totales de radiación causados por los CEM de RF (la 5G junto con la 2G, 3G, 4G y el WiFi) no serán dañinos para la ciudadanía de la UE, especialmente para bebés, niñas y niños y mujeres embarazadas, así como para el medio ambiente.
  2. Recomendar que todos los países de la UE, especialmente sus agencias de seguridad radiológica, sigan la Resolución 1815 e informen a las ciudadanías, incluidos los profesionales de la educación y de la medicina, acerca de los riesgos para la salud derivados de la radiación de los CEM de RF, cómo y por qué evitar la comunicación inalámbrica, particularmente en / cerca de las guarderías, escuelas, hogares, lugares de trabajo, hospitales y centros de la tercera edad.
  3. Nombrar de inmediato, sin influencia de la industria, un grupo de trabajo de la UE sobre los CEM y la salud, de científicos independientes y verdaderamente imparciales, sin conflictos de interés1, para reevaluar los riesgos para la salud y:
a) Decidir sobre nuevos "estándares máximos de exposición total" seguros para todas las
comunicaciones inalámbricas dentro de la UE.
1 Evitar errores similares, como cuando la Comisión(2008/721 / CE) nombró a miembros de apoyo a la industria para el CCRSERI (SCENIHR en inglés), que presentaron a la UE un informe del SCENIHR engañoso sobre los riesgos para la salud, dando a la industria de las telecomunicaciones la luz verde para irradiar a la ciudadanía europea. El informe es ahora citado por las agencias de seguridad radiológica en la UE.

    1. Estudiar la exposición total y acumulativa que afecta a la ciudadanía de la UE.
    2. Crear normas que se requieran / apliquen en la UE sobre cómo evitar una exposición que exceda las nuevas "normas de exposición total máxima" de la UE relativas a todo tipo de campos electromagnéticos para proteger a la ciudadanía, especialmente a los bebés, niñas y niños y mujeres embarazadas.
  1. Evitar que la industria inalámbrica y de telecomunicaciones, a través de sus organizaciones de cabildeo, persuada a los funcionarios europeos a tomar decisiones acerca de fomentar la propagación de la radiación de RF, incluida la 5G en Europa.
  2. Favorecer e implementar telecomunicaciones digitales cableadas en lugar de inalámbricas.
Esperamos una respuesta suya, a más tardar el 31 de octubre de 2017, a los dos primeros signatarios sobre qué medidas tomarán para proteger a los habitantes de la UE contra los CEM de RF y especialmente de la radiación 5G. Esta apelación y su respuesta estarán a disposición del público.

SOBRE LOS CIENTÍFICOS Y EXPERTOS FIRMANTES DEL MANIFIESTO EUROPEO POR UNA REGULACIÓN DE LA EXPOSICIÓN A LOS CAMPOS ELECTROMAGNÉTICOS (CEM) QUE PROTEJA REALMENTE LA SALUD PÚBLICA
En 2013, la Moratoria a las redes 4G y posteriores redes (como ahora la 5G) ya fue solicitado en el Manifiesto Europeo por una regulación de la exposición a los campos electromagnéticos (CEM) que proteja realmente la salud pública, cuya base principal es el Principio de Precaución y de los principios ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) y ALATA (as low as technically) en la exposición a los (CEM), en la línea recomendada por la Agencia Europea de Medio Ambiente y la Asamblea Parlamentaria del Consejo de Europa (Resolución 1815 de 2011), con demandas como minimizar los límites de Exposición CEM en base al conocimiento actualizado de sus efectos biológicos con su monitorización global en tiempo real (comenzando con 0'6 V/m -en exteriores- para radiofrecuencias y 1 mG en frecuencias extremadamente bajas); campañas de información y etiquetaje para minimizar la exposición CEM, centros de enseñanza libres de exposición CEM; reconocimiento de la Electrohipersensibilidad (EHS) y protección de las personas electro-hipersensibles en el ámbito sanitario, laboral, público y privado (vivienda); moratoria de redes de "Contadores inteligentes" y redes 4G o posteriores; primar y promocionar redes, tecnologías y técnicas biocompatibles y sostenibles; normas sanitarias de convivencia de protección de la exposición pasiva.
